The best results start before you arrive. Follow these simple guidelines to ensure a smooth, comfortable waxing experience.
- Let your hair grow at least 2-3 weeks (about the length of a grain of rice)
- Gently exfoliate 24-48 hours before your appointment
- Arrive with clean skin free of lotions, oils or deodorant
- Stay hydrated and avoid excessive caffeine before your service
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing
- Let me know if you're using retinol, Accutane, antibiotics or any other skin-thinning medications
- Avoid tanning or sunburned skin before your appointment
After Your Appointment (First 24-48 Hours)
Your skin is most sensitive immediately after waxing. Following these guidelines helps minimize irritation, prevent ingrown hairs and support the best possible results.
- Avoid hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms and tanning
- Avoid intense workouts and excessive sweating when possible
- Wear loose, breathable clothing to minimize friction
- If you do work out, shower and change out of sweaty clothing as soon as possible
- Avoid heavily fragranced products on freshly waxed skin
- Keep the area clean and moisturized
- Exfoliate and moisturize 2-3 times per week to help prevent ingrown haits and maintain your results
